Functional settings (such as dark mode and chat nicknames) are stored directly on your device using browser local storage. You can clear this data at any time via your browser settings.

We monitor anonymous aggregate numbers (overall page views and general country of access) to track site health and article interest. Individual browsing activity is not tracked across the web.

When logging in to leave a comment via social authentication, only the public display name and avatar you select appear with your message. Passwords are never processed or retained by our server.
